WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF YOUR LIFE?
Is this some big esoteric question that you will ponder for a lifetime?
Or maybe it’s really just something that you can ask yourself everyday as you enter stillness and silence, and trust that the answers meet the questions in time.
On all of our tours and retreats we invite our guests to receive their Personal Mantra based on Vedic Science.
Primordial Sound Mantra Meditation is a practice that was developed at the Chopra Centre in California by Dr. David Simon and Dr. Deepak Chopra with the blessings of the Shankaracharya in India.
As you develop this practice you ask the four Soul Questions every day, which activate the dormant potential within you. The answers meet the questions in due course as you develop clarity and connection to your higher self, your soul.
Who am I?
What do I want?
What am I grateful for?
What's my dharma?
The Law of Dharma or Purpose in Life States:
Everyone has a purpose in life, a unique gift or special talent to give to others. When we blend this unique talent with service to others, we experience the ecstasy and exultation of our own spirit, which is the ultimate goal.
I will put the Law of Dharma into effect by making a commitment to take the following steps:
1. Today I will lovingly nurture the god or goddess in embryo that lies deep within my soul. I will pay attention to the spirit within me that animates both my body and my mind. I will awaken myself to this deep stillness within my heart. I will carry the consciousness of timeless, eternal Being in the midst of time-bound experience.
2. I will make a list of my unique talents. Then I will list all the things that I love to do while expressing my unique talents. When I express my unique talents and use them in the service of humanity, I lose track of time and create abundance in my life as well as in the lives of others.
3. I will ask myself daily, “How can I serve?” and “How can I help?” The answers to these questions will allow me to help and serve my fellow human beings with love.
What we have noticed is that when our guests take a vacation with us to India and Bhutan they are immersed in a simple daily routine that incorporates both Yoga and Meditation. By simply asking these 4 Soul Questions in meditation everyday, they are finding that the answers begin to show up as they move through the day. This is when transformation starts to happen, as the mind shifts from the ego to the soul.
Sikkim Retreat 2019
SINEAD P. QUINN
Highlights: Being in a sacred valley of such pure surroundings where the people live their faith as such an integrated part of life was a beautiful gift. There is something extremely special in that area that brings peace and well-being and supports the space for what wished to unfold by coming together as a group and the rituals we shared together. Being able to experience the frequency of prayer through pooja in the monasteries and the healing that brings was like a balm to my soul.
Overall experience: The Dharma Tours Team are very committed and passionate about what they do and actively look to form meaningful relationships with the locals, which brings a warming welcome wherever we went. Care was taken in choosing the best accommodation, places to visit and rituals to match the moment. It is a great feeling to have everything so well taken care of and to be able to enjoy to the fullest.
Unforgettable moments: The calling of the Mountain. After days of cloud and mist that covered everything the skies opened to reveal her majestic beauty, seeming to reflect an inner opening and clarity. In the quietness of dawn you can hear her call when she is ready to show her splendour and this unexpected connection touched me deeply. It is one of the most potent moments of my life and I feel deep gratitude to feel this calling, which I sense stays a lifetime. I am sure I will meet her again.
